Like all big movie stars, Mickey Mouse's career has had a few twists and turns. Okay, maybe more than a few. As I discussed in a post today, there seems to be a feeling that Mickey needs to be reinvented again. So, which version of Mickey is your favorite and do you think he could survive in the modern world of animation?

My favorite Mickey performance is as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. He says so much without speaking, and I like how he keeps on trying and keeps on getting deeper into trouble- I think that that's pretty easy to relate to.
There's also something sweet and real about Mickey in the shorts with Pluto- just as your everyday dog owner. The two of them are sweet to each other at some times, but then Mickey will have to scold Pluto.
So, I guess I like Mickey when he's most relateable? It's hard to ever dislike Mickey, though!

Definitely Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey- I agree with blackcauldron that he says so much without speaking, since I just love the animation in that sequence. Plus, it was a new design at the time, and I think the most iconic.

I think with the updates over the years he has remained a icon everyone can like.
